Grokster take 2
Sent to my blog cyb2law.blogspot.com.
We'll, mid-terms are over (whew!). I am not very happy with my results,
but I am not going to feel too bad about it either. I am working on my
essay skills now. I will work on the substantive shortly.
I came across an article that deals with digital copyright issues. I
wrote a bit about this case before... It is the Grokster case. It would
seem that the United States Supreme Court is deliberating on taking the
case...

Grokster, take 2?
The Supreme Court is debating whether to consider the Grokster case. I
think that since there is legislation currently under development, the
Supreme Court will point to the developing law (such as "induce"), and
the Court will let the public know that the court will reserve
judgement, and leave the law making to the legislators (with some
recommendations of course :>).
The Supreme Court may decide to hear the case to put temporary resolve
on the issue or to put weight into its recommendations by temporarily
putting out its decision into the law, but I would lean towards them
either finding agreement with the lower court that precedence says
grokster cannot be found liable, or not hear the issue now; "let's leave
that to Congress".
Here is where I heard about the deliberation:
